How They Met

My husband and I are from the same town.  We were in the same small class of 26 people and even had lockers next to each other. Our paths never seemed to cross much while we were growing up. We had different interests and different groups of friends. It wasn’t until college when we would come home from breaks that we started to hang out with classmates that we got to know each other better. The friendship grew and the rest is history.

Fondest Memory from the Big Day

My favorite part was the first looks. Of course I cried, but they were happy, joyful tears. Another favorite part was after the ceremony we were surprised by my grandparents with a horse drawn carriage to our reception. They restored an old carriage and repainted it to match our wedding colors. It was a fun, exciting and special part of our big day.

How They Chose Vendors

Once we decided to do our wedding in our hometown, we also decided that we wanted to keep everything local.  I was happy to discover that shopping locally provided many choices for our wedding. Never once did I feel like I was limited or not able to get exactly what I wanted just because I was in small town Montana.

Best Advice

The only thing I would do differently would be to slow down and take in the day more. It went so fast and so many details I forgot about. Pictures help bring back the great memories. Slow down and smell the flowers…literally.

And they lived happily ever after...
